1. Temperature resistance:
The packaging materials for frozen fruits and vegetables are generally qualified if they can withstand boiling water at 100 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes. They should also be able to withstand low temperatures. Paper should be able to withstand low temperatures and maintain softness even at minus 40 degrees Celsius. Secondly, aluminum foil and plastic can maintain softness at minus 30 degrees Celsius, and plastic will harden when exposed to ultra-low temperatures.
2. Breathability:
Packaging such as air extraction and vacuum must use materials with low breathability to maintain the unique aroma of the food.
3. Water resistance: Packaging materials also need to prevent moisture penetration to reduce dry loss. These non breathable packaging materials are prone to condensation of droplets on the material due to changes in environmental temperature, resulting in reduced transparency. Therefore, when using them, it is also necessary to consider changes in environmental temperature.
4. Light resistance: The packaging materials and printing pigments of frozen fruits and vegetables should be light resistant, otherwise the materials will be exposed to light, which will cause color changes and a decrease in value in the packaging.
